BI META - 8th Regional Mastitis Meeting
In an attempt to offer better solutions & recent updates about milk quality and mastitis control in dairy cows, The 8th Regional Mastitis Meeting took place with around 70 delegates coming from different countries (Algeria, Egypt, France, Germany, Iran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Turkey and United Arab Emirates) in Dubai on 14th March 2017.
The event welcomed around 70 experts from across the Middle East, Europe and Asia. The meeting was held to deliberate the solutions and future challenges especially addressing Mastitis as a global dairy challenge trend.
World renowned speakers such as Prof. Dr. Volker Kroemker, University of Applied Science Hanover, Microbiology, Germany, Dr. Ismail Ilker Kocaer, General Manager Atasancak Dairy Farm, Turkey, and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, Department of Theriogenology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Beni-Suef University Egypt, Technical Consultant for most of the dairy farms in Egypt; were invited to share their expertise and come together to increase awareness around the risks of mastitis and exchange knowledge with experts present from around the region to provide an outcome of a socially responsible business that delivers good quality of milk to consumers.
The event also incorporated important topics covering topics such as ‘The impact of mastitis on fertility in dairy cows’ by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, Latest Trends in Mastitis Therapy by Prof. Dr. Volker Kroemker, who also discussed ‘Management & Treatment Insights from the Largest Dairy Farm in Turkey’.
